Lovi Poe is FHM Cover Girl of September 2011

ABS-CBN gives Phl paddlers P1 million ABS-CBN donates P1 million to the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation (PDBF) Team when it gave a day-long hero’s welcome for the Filipino dragon boat champions. ABS-CBN President and COO Charo Santos-Concio said the amount was a token of appreciation for the team’s “hard work, perseverance and for bringing honor to our country.”

1605 pass Physician Licensure Exam, UP Manila grad tops list of 1605 new doctors , August 2011 Physician Licensure Examination Results
A graduate from the University of the Philippines (UP) in Manila topped the list of passers for the August 2011 physician licensure exam, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Wednesday.

Mark Augustine Onglao of UP Manila got an 88.4-percent score in the exam to lead the 1,605 passers out of the 2,131 examinees. [Click here for complete list of passers.]

Malacañang: College classes suspended in NCR

Palace: College classes suspended in NCR, Metro Manila braces for ‘Juaning’, Classes in all levels suspended in Metro Manila, Deped: No classes on all levels in Metro Manila (NCR) on July 27 due to tropical storm Juaning, NCR Classes Suspended in all levels Wednesday
Executive Secretary Jojo Ochoa on Tuesday said college classes in the National Capital Region (NCR) have been suspended for July 27, (Wednesday) as recommended by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) amid the heavy rains expected from Tropical Storm Juaning.

The announcement was first made through presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda's Twitter account. Lacierda tweeted: "Upon the recommendation of NDRRMC, Executive Secretary Jojo Ochoa has declared the suspension at the tertiary level in NCR."

A few minutes later, @govph announced the same thing on Twitter.

The Department of Education has also announced the suspension of pre-school to high school classes in NCR and other parts of Luzon.
